Whole 30 Day 5

Hi Guys! I hope your week is going well! Even though I am working for a bit today, I am so glad that the weekend is here! Today is actually my 6th day on Whole30, but I wanted to give you a little recap on how days 1-5 have been for me.

What I have been eating:

protein: homemade turkey burgers, homemade chicken fajitas, chicken stirfried in the wok, steak, homemade chili.follixin reviews

veggies: green beans, asparagus, lots of peppers and onions, greens.5000 semanal críticas

starches: sweet potatoes.fast cash method is it real

snacky stuff: nectarines, peaches, apples, nut butters and the occasional banana or morning glory muffins. Mikey has been making morning glory muffins with almond flour, coconut oil, eggs, carrots, apples, and cherries. No sweetener, but they still super tasty.

fats: avocados and coconut butter. I have been using coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil and ghee to cook in. Can I just say how happy I am eating fats?

Emotional:

I’m feeling great mentally! I feel strong and accomplished already! I never thought that I would be able to do it this long and each day that passes is a day I feel more proud! I feel fueled and alert, which is more than I expected at this point. Day 5 was the first day that I wanted something I couldn’t have (cheese and diet coke.)

Physical:

On my report for the first day, I mentioned that I had not seen/felt any physical changes yet. After that I had an overwhelming feeling of fullness that lasted about two days. I’m not gonna lie – it was kind of a gross feeling. I felt like I had a 16 oz. porterhouse sitting in my stomach like a brick. This lasted for the second half of day 1, all of day and the first half of day 3. I was trying not to get discouraged, fighting myself from saying “bloat is one of the reasons why I started to eat this way in the first place!” I waited it out and now I feel so much better! I don’t know if it was just my body’s way of adjusting to eating so differently, but it was uncomfortable. I’m so glad I didn’t give up thought, because on day 4, I felt light as a feather. I’m hungry when it’s time to eat and I feel like my metabolism is speeding up. (obviously I can’t back that up – it’s just how my body feels.)

Biggest challenge so far:

Since my strong suit is not organization, I would say my biggest challenge would be getting all my food ready, packed, stored, and containers washed and ready and what not. I have been able to stay two steps ahead of meal times, so it’s worked out so far.

Another thing that has been different for me (although not really a challenge so much) is eating three times a day as opposed to five or six. I have been allowing myself a snack if I need one (usually in the form of fruit) but most of the I feel fine in between meals.
